Georgia’s Dog Friendly Beaches
Georgia’s Jekyll Island is one of the top ten dog Friendly Beaches in the United States
Dogs on leash are welcome year round on the beach and the paved and dirt trails. During the summer, stay on the 10 miles of beaches and paved trails. And during the other months, enjoy the dirt trails. It is recommended that dogs and their owners stay off the dirt trails during the summer because there are too many ticks in the woods.

Bark in the Park - Piedmont Park
In August, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra holds a Bark in the Park concert. It is usually located in Piedmont Park. This free outdoor concert allow you and your best friend to enjoy the symphony.
Centennial Olympic Park – Downtown Atlanta
This 21 acre park highlights and commemorates the 1996 Olympics. During hot summer days and nights, the five-ring Olympic water fountain is a great spot to cool off you and your pet. Pets must be leashed. The park is bordered by Marietta Street, Baker Street, Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Andrew Young International Blvd.
Stone Mountain Park – Just outside of Atlanta
While in the park, dogs are only allowed on the Cherokee Trail. This 5-mile trail goes around the base of the mountain and the Nature Trail and Gardens. You will be able to see the world’s largest carving which depicts three Confederate heroes: President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee, and Lt. General Stonewall Jackson. Admission to the park is just under $20 per adult and less for children and seniors. Dogs are also allowed at the campground and RV park. Pets must be leashed throughout the park.
