Property Description:
Adam’s Retreat consists of a main house with four bedrooms and a large dormitory-style bedroom, an outbuilding just yards away, complete with a bathroom, shower, refrigerator, and heat, as well as two cabins. We also have plenty of room for tents, in case your group likes camping. Here are some answers to other questions:
Q. Where is Adam’s Rereat located?
A. Just outside Berkeley Springs, in Morgan County West Virginia. We’re right at the intersection of Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, in the heart of the mountains. To learn more go to www.berkeleysprings.com (LINK HERE)
Q. What kinds of activities will we find?
A. Many of our guests like to relax at the retreat, take walks through the woods surrounding the retreat, and explore the shops, mineral baths, and restaurants in Berkeley Springs. Others enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities.
Q. Are you near Washington D.C.?
A. Yes - in fact, many of our guests take day trips to DC, Gettysburg Maryland, Harper’s Ferry, and Civil War sites, including Antietam. Most within a 90-minute drive.
Q. Will I see much wildlife?
A. Absolutely! We have deer, bear, turtles, snakes, a variety of birds and much more. Just sit back, relax and watch.
Q. Do you provide catering?
A. We partner with local resturants who provide catering services: the options range from Mexican food to French cuisine. We also have a full kitchen – complete with a dishwasher, microwave, and pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
Q. Should I bring sheets, blankets, and pillows.
A. No – we provide it all.
Q. Can we hunt on Adam’s Retreat property?
A. While there are plenty of opportunities to hunt in the area, Adam’s Retreat is strictly a no-hunting zone.
Q. Can we bring pets?
A. Yes – pets are welcome; in fact, we even have stables for horse-owners. You will need to bring your own hay, however. Also, you will need to leave a deposit for damage – we trust you – but accidents have happened!

A. We knew that everyone deserves a chance to get away – to talk, play, relax, and enoy each other – and their own thoughts. So, what better way than to share a space like Adam’s retreat!
Property Amenities:
We supply linens, towels, alarm clocks, a laundry room with washer & dryer, ironing board, iron, TVs with cable, stereo with a CD player, telephone, ceiling fans, wood burning stoves, and a full kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, lots of counter space. We also have two wood burning stoves, stables, if you have a horse, an outdoor fire pit, deck with a mountain view, potted herbs in the warm seasons, and more.
